27th Annual Polar Bear Plunge

Join NAVSTA Great Lakes MWR Community Recreation for the 27th Annual Polar Bear Plunge on Sat., Jan. 25 at the boat launch area of the Marina. Registration will be from 10-11am. You must be in line by 11am to register prior to jumping. Jumping begins at 11am, and no pets are allowed to plunge. All participants must wear closed toed shoes and costumes are encouraged! 

The command with the most participation, by percentage, will be recognized and awarded!

Participants ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and sign a waiver. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to jump, for safety reasons. Active duty members who are 17 are able to jump without a parent/guardian present. 

We will also have a warm bonfire for after you jump, some fire tricks and balloon animal as entertainment, and souvenir and event apparel will be available for purchase.
